Adoption Process

Visit the shelter and select the animal that is right for you. After you select an animal, there is a brief application to fill out. Once that is complete, an adoption counselor or animal control officer will discuss with you the laws and requirements of the adoption. Which are:

   *You must bring the animal to the veterinarian for a rabies vaccination within 1 week.

   *You must have the animal spayed / neutered within 30 days of the adoption.

  *You must bring a photo identification with correct address in order to process the adoption.

 You will be required to sign some additional forms documenting that you understand and agree to abide by these laws. (The adoption process takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes)

There is a total fee of $35.00 ($15.00 adoption fee and a $20.00 spay / neuter deposit) that is required at the time of adoption. (cash only and correct change please) Once you have your new pet spayed / neutered by your vet, simply return the form to us. We will process your form and you will receive a check in the mail, reimbursing your $20.00 deposit.
