The Pawtucket Animal Shelter is a municipal animal shelter located in SlaterPark in the City of Pawtucket, RI. 


Our shelter provides temporary care and housing for stray and/or abandoned animals found in our city.

The shelter is open Monday - Saturday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm *CLOSED MOTHER'S DAY 5-10-09*

DIRECTIONS: Take 95 to Exit 2A (route 1A So., Newport Ave./Pawtucket) *Note: This exit is in Massachusetts, you will enter RI shortly after taking this exit. Stay on Newport Avenue

for 7 traffic lights. Immediately after the 7th traffic light, you will see the entrance to SlaterMemorial Park on your left side. After turning into the park, stay straight - WE ARE NOW LOCATED JUST BEYOND THE PLAYGROUND.
